Hours of Operation
The Show House will be open to visitors six days a week (closed Mondays) from October 1 through November 2, 2008:
Tuesday – Friday: 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Sunday: Noon - 5:00 p.m.
Monday: Closed
Tickets
General admission tickets will be available for advance purchase in selected area shops and on this website for $25 (which includes the Show House Journal). Tickets purchased after October 1, 2008 will be $30. Children over the age of 10 may attend if accompanied by an adult. Additional copies of the Show House Journal may be purchased at the Twin Maples Estate for $10. (Buy Admission Tickets)
Transportation & Parking
The Twin Maples Estate is located at 214 Springfield Avenue at Edgewood Road in bucolic Summit, New Jersey. Summit is just 17 miles from Manhattan and is easily accessible by NJ Transit train or bus. By car, Summit is easily accessible from the Garden State Parkway, the NJ Turnpike and Route 287 and is located between Routes 78 next and 24, directly across Route 24 from The Mall at Short Hills.
Visitors traveling by car are asked to park at The Mall at Short Hills, where we are very pleased that Nordstrom’s will be sponsoring free valet parking and complimentary shuttle bus service between The Mall at Short Hills, the Twin Maples Estate and the Summit NJ Transit train/bus station for the duration of the Show House. Visitors traveling by train or bus may also use the complimentary Nordstrom shuttle buses to reach the Twin Maples Estate or choose to make the fifteen minute stroll through Summit’s lovely downtown shops and restaurants to the Show House, which is four blocks east of the downtown area on Springfield Avenue(the town’s Main Street). This area is called Summit’s North side and is home to many magnificent historic homes built in the 1880s through the 1930s. (Maps & Directions)
Special Events
Several special event luncheons will be held at Nordstrom’s at The Mall at Short Hills, featuring celebrity speakers. The details of these programs will be announced shortly. The Show House at Twin Maples will conclude on Sunday, November 2, 2008. Its success will be celebrated at a grand Black and White Ball at the Short Hills Hilton on November 1, 2008. Lunch Services
Guests are encouraged to lunch at Nordstrom’s new third floor Café or visit one of downtown Summit's wonderful restaurants listed in the Show House Journal. Sandwiches, salads, coffee, muffins and snacks will also be available at the Twin Maples Estate.
